In the opening I explained that 30% of all searches on Google and Yahoo are people search related. With the People Search Engine system it takes advantage of those figures. Every time someone uses your search engine to find some one you generate a commission through Clickbank, Mylife, and HD Publishing as a affiliate of these companies, which all are free to sign up with. Really, No costs so far. The owner of the system then pays you on three levels on all your referrals earning a total of $30 for each person you refer. If that wasn’t enough he has added Global Domains Inc or GDI. Your search engine now can also refer people to your GDI business which you earn $1 for each referral. Doesn’t sound like much but it does add up when it get going, plus the fact GDI pays $100 when you refer 5 people in a week. All of this is intergrated into one website, your people search engine. One thing that grabbed me was the guaranteed commission of $125 with in 24 hours. This statement is clearly marked and advertised and is fact whether he can gain the referrals or not. So far, this system does seem to be a solid business opportunity. I almost forgot the owner Tissa Godavitarne offers free training on how to market this niche business.
How do you get this system going? Well, when you sign up you sign up for the free affiliate programs which is very easy to do. Then you sign up for hosting of your search engine. You have a couple of options; 1, use lunarpages which is low cost $4.95 a month which is what I paid, or 2, use GDI which is also a low cost $10 a month. If you don’t have GDI now don’t worry they have a link to get you started there as well.
How do you advertise your search engine? Well, he has that covered as well for the first month he advertises for you. After the first month, he charges you $29.95 a month to advertise your site, and he explains that you need to learn how to advertise you site yourself, which is a must on the internet.
Wait, this is supposed to be a review and a review has two sides. I will in all honesty try to find some negative points of this system.
Upon sign up you are directed to sign up for the affiliate programs that Mr. Godavitarne suggests. I am a believer that you really shouldn’t sign up for to many affiliate programs. This is a big mistake many new marketers make, myself included, it takes your focus away from your business, and it can lead to being overworked. But if you are good at time management it can be done, just don’t let the income streams that are making money slide away. The web hosting isn’t much of a problem at $4.95 a month, but they ask for it up front for the entire year. There is no option for monthly subscription, unless you choose GDI. Then you have the last step, advertising to obtain the guaranteed commission of $125 you have to sign up for the monthly subscription or buy something from him of equal value, to recieve 30 days free advertising and if you are not satisfied just end the subscription before the end of the 30 days. However, if you used the lunerpage hosting that is lost if you don’t create a new website. This is something to consider if you are new to developing websites. Free Training is available, he hosts webinars on specific dates and times, I haven’t found any past videos of past webinars only draw back that I see here.
There is one last step, that I haven’t mentioned here and is the last thing he mentions after you have done all the steps of setting up your people search engine. Maximizing your profits. If you want to take this step you have to sign up for another training program called Wealthy Affiliate University and take one course on article marketing or PPC advertising. The Monthly subscription is another $29.95 and the course cost $67 and he will turn on the super affiliate switch which could make you another $3000-5000 a month. I honestly would wait on this and see if you can make some money first and use the profits to pay for it. However, if uses another affiliate program through Lunarpages which if you use it for hosting they automatically sign you up for. To maintain your super affiliate switch you have to keep up all the steps and subscriptions.

In summary, I believe this system to be a solid business model, and since I have already made my Guaranteed Commission plus one referral I can recommend this business, and if you are already in GDI its another great way to promote that stream of income.

Plug and Profit Review

I have been a member of the Plug and Profit team for about 6 months now. I use the word team loosely here because this is a stand alone business, you the owner run the business, and you alone make decisions for it. As a business anyone can succeed with this system and it gets you off to a great start by building your initial website for you, and yes it is done in 24 hours.

Your Website
The initial website that you get is the same that everyone gets, all the same links, banners, and articles. However, it is very clean looking and has great appeal to customers. As you know with as many Plug and Profit sites out there you need to stand out and be unique to gain targeted prospects. In the 30 day training that Stone gives you there is many upgrades that he suggests to improve your website or gain visitors, I call this hidden costs. However, you make the decision what to buy and how you will proceed. Many of these upgrades are affordable but it will add up fast. I choose to learn html to upgrade my own site and keep the cost down. Which I might add was a slow process, but it was my business. One thing, I have to add here is the links you choose initially to sign up for the website. Stone has put several on the sales page which will change from time to time. I suggest you only sign up for what you feel comfortable with, You have to sign up for the hosting and if you are on a tight budget I would sign up for SFI its free to sign up and yes you can make money with the free side but there is a upgrade which is worth it. Like I said sign up to be a affiliate for the companies you want and feel comfortable with.
Like I said this is a review and I would be remiss in not telling you the down side. As I said before the site is very generic and will need some customization to obtain the results business owners need. The 30 day training hits on this a little but suggests you connect with the PIPs support to gain custom looks if you can afford them its worth it the work is done fast, but the costs add up. I suggest if you decide to use the support team upgrade every 3 months or so. That way Google will see changes on a regular basis which is great for the search engines. On that topic, the key words for the site are the same for everybody which creates great competition for you on the internet and the search engines. This is not explained in the training and you should change the key words I found this easy to do but it took a while to learn, but I'm older and not used to the internet and html. Everyones learning curve is different. So its a lot more work than you thought it was when you first signed up, hidden costs, more work but if you really want a business and you work it you will succeed.

The Free 30 Day Training
Well, I was surprised to find a full 30 days of training packed full of information to use how I liked meaning whether to use it or not. It however, kept me busy learning about the system and how to market online. It was very easy to find ways to market my site for free searching the internet for similiar activities to use. I did however, took advantage of some of the upgrades like the getresponse autoresponder I found it affordable and easy to use. Part of the training you get is the autoresponder which is meant for a beginner and Stone gives you a years worth of emails for your site. The training is filled with items to use for free like the newbie training videos and doctomology ebook these are both great and filled with useful information.
However, I know I have stated this before the training is the same for everyone and the suggestions Stone gives you to advertise your site are the same as well. I would advise you to check out the internet for different areas to advertise. Take ezine advertisement, Stone makes several suggestions on where to advertise and shows you how to advertisement step by step. Don't make this mistake, many people who start out do this you will have lots of competition with the same advertisement. Look for different ezine sites to advertise in or develop you own ad, you will much better luck.

The Plug and Profit sites are a good way to get started in business on line and has the potential to make you a good income source. However, like I have stated earlier there are many downfalls to the program. If you are dedicated to make a business work and work, learn, and don't give up this is a business that will work for you. However, you must put yourself out there to learn the ins and outs of the internet marketing.
